Wheat Grass Juice

A Down-to-Earth Template of Health! By Stephie Cyr

Going “back to basics” can be, ironically, complicated and overwhelming. There are all the products to learn, the right food combinations, right nutritional balance, eat right for your blood type, mineral vs. reverse osmosis…- Yin Yang overload for many health prospectors.

Ultimately, you want to get a bountiful blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes to cleanse, strengthen, revitalize, and rejuvenate your individual self while still maintaining simplicity.

It’s as simple as drinking a shot grass. Specifically freshly squeezed organic wheatgrass juice

Known as “The King of Juices”; it is one of the richest sources of Vitamins A, B complex, C, E, and K. Additionally, wheatgrass is an excellent source of Calcium, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Sodium, Sulphur, Cobalt, Zinc, 17 amino acids, and over 80 active enzymes.

Some say one ounce of wheat grass juice is equivalent to the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids found in 2 pounds of green leafy vegetables.

Medicinal Benefits May include:

  • Aids in Prevention and Cure of Cancer
  • Powerful Liver Cleanser
  • Blood detoxifier, and aids hemoglobin production
  • Thyroid Balancer
  • Strong digestive cleanser
  • Prevents hair from graying
  • Neutralizes and flushes toxins and carcinogens from the body
  • Reduces high blood pressure
  • Improves blood sugar disorders
  • Enhances vitality and mental alertness
  • Discourages unfriendly bacteria growth
  • Increases your rate of healing
  • Rich in potent anti-aging, anti-inflammatory enzyme and antioxidant, super oxide dismutase

Chlorophyll, plant blood, and our blood’s molecular structure are remarkably similar which aids in rebuilding the bloodstream.

Enzymes are required by every single bodily function. They are found in live food and are highly concentrated in wheat grass juice. Processed, frozen or cooked food not only destroys 25% of the nutrients of the foods, it also destroys 100% of the enzymes. At 1/4 the price, growing your own grass not only ensures live enzymes but also provides a greater abundance of nutrients than the frozen juice.

It’s not the food in your life but the life in your food”

– Steve Meyerowitz

Enzymes have been linked to curing cancer. In Vol.2/No.4 1996 of the Journal of Longevity Research, enzymes were praised for their ability to combat cancer cells.

Cancer and other chronic diseases can be ameliorated by: alleviating stress, regular exercise, a colorful diet (no, not M&M’s), and wheatgrass juice, a rich source of anti-oxidants and other essential nutrients.

Wheatgrass is a complete life sustaining food. It is a vegetable, containing no gluten, thus people with wheat allergies are said to be safe.

For maximum absorption, juice should be drunk immediately after extraction, on an empty stomach, held sublingually for 30 seconds, then swished and swallowed.

Regular fasting, done properly, can be a wholesome part of health maintenance and is best done in the spring and fall. Drinking wheatgrass juice during a fasting period encourages rapid deep cleansing and healing while providing you with vitality. In time-limited situations such as for cancer, wheatgrass juice enemas with a slant board are recommended for speedy detoxification, nourishment, and rejuvenation. Caution – larger doses of wheatgrass may cause a healing crisis: a rapid toxic dump which can cause flu-like symptoms for up to 48 hours. As with any new remedy it is always wise to begin in small increments and to increase gradually. General guidelines are 1-2 oz daily as a maintenance dosage and multi-vitamin replacement (+ many more), and 4-8 oz as a therapeutic dosage, to cleanse, nourish, and regenerate the body.

As with any health issues, consult your natural health care practitioner before embarking on your healing path.
